My Mission:

My mission is to share my ideas, perspective on life, and my homestead with friends and family. I would like to keep them informed on my life without the need to bring social attraction to my life. That is what this blog if for. My aim is to post at least once per day, hopefully involving photos of family and projects. 

The First Garden

Starting our very first family garden this year. We dont currently have a tiller so it's all shovel and hoe work. That's okay as long as I get a lot of beans and potatoes. Now I sound like my father!

The window has to stay closed today. A chill 39 degrees out and I can barely make out the blue sky. The seed pods are holding their moisture well. 

I started the Corn way too early! But its growing. I guess we will call it the experimental crop of Corn.
